I can't believe it has been a month since my last entry. Well, if I have any readers remaining, I have exciting news! Our local library had a sale cart of books, and I bought 55- yes, 55!!! hard-backed books for 5.00.
Some of our favorite authors included in the bunch are: Demi, Tomie DePaola, Lizbeth Zwerger, Peter Spier...
There is a sad side to this whole wonderful find, however. These books will no longer grace the library's shelves. Which means that no-one else will benefit from these beautiful stories. I have often felt at times that I shouldn't buy so many books for our personal library; I should just check them out from the public library. The sad truth is that in a few years, many of the kinds of books I want to check out may have all been discarded. So my advice to you is this: If you see a beautiful book on sale at the library, buy it. You may not have a chance to see it again!
Happy reading, Happy hunting!
